Dressing like a gentleman when everyone else is in gym clothes

Got tired of seeing every man at church and around town dressed like they just rolled out of bed. Started dressing up a bit more - button up shirts, actual pants, leather shoes instead of sneakers. A few guys have mentioned it and I can tell some think I'm being weird but I don't care. Dressing well is about respect, for the occasion and for the people around you. It's not complicated and it doesn't have to cost a lot. A gentleman carries himself a certain way and that starts with how he presents himself.

Are we talking full suits or just like, actual pants and a button up? Because I'm all for dressing decent but I also don't want to be the overdressed guy at the grocery store haha

Finally someone said it. I got tired of looking like I just woke up too. Started wearing actual shirts to church instead of my gym clothes and my kids actually noticed. Set the bar a little higher, you know?

This hits. I realized my kids were starting to dress sloppy and I was wondering why, then I looked in the mirror. Lead by example right? Now we actually do shirts with buttons on church days.

This is legit though. Looking like you tried a little bit sends a message to your kids about respect and standards. Doesn't have to be fancy, just gotta show you care about how you present yourself.
