Just realized I've been wearing the same 3 t-shirts and basketball shorts for like 2 years. Even when we go out as a family I'm a mess. My dad always looked put together and I remember feeling proud of that. Thinking about getting some decent clothes and keeping myself groomed better. Sets an example right?
Right there with you. I finally threw out those old t-shirts and actually felt like a different person. Doesn't have to be fancy, just clean clothes that fit well. Makes a difference in how you feel about yourself.
This is such an underrated part of being a good role model. My kids see me putting effort into how I look and it matters to them. Plus honestly you just feel better about yourself when you're not running around in workout clothes all day.

I used to be the same way until my daughter asked why I didn't dress up like her mom does. That was the wake up call I needed. You don't have to go crazy but looking put together is important.
Being a dad doesn't mean you have to stop caring about appearance. A nice pair of jeans and a solid button up takes five minutes and you look way more presentable. Your family will notice.
