Father passed away last month - need advice on honoring his legacy
Dad was old school through and through. Military background, never complained, always took care of his family. I'm struggling with how to pass his values to my kids now that he's gone. They're 6 and 10. Anyone dealt with this? Want to make sure they know what kind of man he was and what that means for them growing up.
So sorry to hear that. I'd say the best way to honor him is through your kids. Teach them what he taught you, even the small stuff. The way he carried himself, how he handled tough situations. My grandpa was military too and honestly the greatest gift he left was showing me how to be dependable. That's what you pass forward.
