Finally got my son fishing and man, it was worth the wait

Took my boy out to the lake last Saturday for his first real fishing trip. We didn't catch much but we just sat there talking about life and I realized how rare that is these days. He's 14 and usually got his nose in his phone. Something about being out on the water just opened him up. Felt like I was doing something right as a dad for once. Thought some of you might appreciate that.
