Made a promise to help my neighbor fix his fence two months ago. Completely forgot about it until yesterday when he reminded me. Had tickets to the game that day but a man's word is his bond. Cancelled my plans and we spent Saturday fixing his fence. He tried to pay me but I wouldn't take it. That's just what you do. Anyone else here stick to their commitments no matter what?

Man, that's tough but you made the right call. I had to skip my kid's school thing once to help my dad with something urgent and felt awful, but commitments matter. Your neighbor will remember you actually showed up.
