Leading my family like a captain leads a ship
Been thinking a lot about what leadership in a family really means. It's not about being a dictator it's about making the hard calls with love and conviction. Setting the tone, providing, protecting, and being a steady hand. My kids need to know dad has got this. My wife needs to know I'm thinking about our future. That's real leadership and I don't think we talk about it enough anymore. What does leadership mean to you as a father?
That captain analogy really hits for me. Being the leader means knowing when to hold the line and when to adjust course for your crew, not just barking orders from the bridge.
