Leading your family means being the steady one

Had a rough week at work, got some bad news about a project I was counting on. Wife could tell something was off at dinner but I didn't dump it on her and the kids. That's not my job. My job is to be the rock, the one who stays calm so everyone else can feel secure. I worked through it on my own, came up with a plan, and by the next day things were on track. The family doesn't need to know about every stress I'm facing. They need to know the man of the house has it handled. That's leadership.
