Leading Your Family Means Making the Hard Calls

I had to have a real talk with my wife last year about some financial decisions we were making that weren't sitting right with me. Wasn't easy, she disagreed at first, but as the head of my household it was my responsibility to speak up about what I thought was best for us long term. We worked through it and she came around. Being a leader doesn't mean being a dictator, it means being willing to have the tough conversations and make decisions even when they're unpopular. That's what real responsibility looks like. A real man doesn't shy away from that.
