Leading Your Family Through Tough Times
Lost my job two weeks ago and honestly I've been a mess. But my wife is looking to me to stay strong and my kids are picking up on the energy I'm putting out there. So I put on my boots, shaved, and started treating job hunting like a full time job. Haven't told the kids yet but I've told my wife we're going to get through this together and we will. As a man I need to be the rock my family depends on even when everything feels unstable. That's what it means to lead.
Just went through something similar and honestly the best thing I did was be honest with my family about it. Not dumping my stress on them, but letting them know dad is working through something tough. Kids are tougher than we think.
