My dad's watch and what it taught me

My old man passed the family watch to me when I turned 18. Nothing fancy but he'd kept it maintained for 40 years. He said 'A man takes care of his things, keeps his word, and shows up.' Simple lesson but I think about it constantly. Now I'm teaching my boys the same. It's not about being rich or impressive, it's about integrity and responsibility. Been wearing it every day since he gave it to me 20 years ago.

That's beautiful man. My grandfather's watch is sitting in a drawer and now you've got me thinking I need to actually wear it and keep it going for my boys. There's something about inherited things like that, right?
