My dad taught me these things I'm trying to pass on
Open doors for women, even if they don't expect it. Take care of the check without making a thing about it. Listen more than you talk. Admit when you're wrong. Stand up straight. Say sir and ma'am to folks older than you. Some people think it's outdated but my kids are growing up understanding that being a man means being accountable and showing respect. My old man got a lot right.
The door thing is underrated. I do it automatically now and my kids have noticed. My daughter actually called me out once for not doing it for her mom and I realized I need to practice what I preach about respect.
