My father in law's passing taught me about honor
Lost my FIL last month. At his funeral I heard story after story about how he kept his word, how he helped people without needing recognition, how he showed up for his friends. That's the kind of legacy I want to leave. Not money or status but a reputation for integrity and being someone people can count on. Been thinking a lot about what kind of man I'm building myself to be for my kids to witness.
My condolences man. But you're absolutely right that there's something to learn from a life like that. Being the kind of person people know they can count on, that's what matters in the end.
