My father-in-law taught me the value of a kept promise

Just finished a kitchen renovation I promised my wife 8 months ago. It's done and looks great. Her dad called me after and said he was proud of me for following through no matter how long it took. That hit different. In a world where everyone flakes on their word it's rare to see a man who does what he says. This simple compliment from a man I respect means more to me than anything. Remind yourselves that your word is your bond.

This hits different. I've got a half finished deck project from last summer that's been haunting me. Your post just made me realize my wife probably feels the same way about that kitchen. Time to actually finish what I started.
