My father passed down his watch to me today
He's 84 and decided today was the day. This watch has been on his wrist for 50 years. We sat in his study and he told me the story of when he bought it, what it meant to him, and why he wanted me to have it now while he could see me wear it. He said a gentleman passes down more than just things, he passes down meaning. I'm gonna wear this every single day. That watch carries his legacy now.
Wow, 50 years on his wrist and now it's on yours. That's a real connection to your dad and something your kids will understand someday too. Beautiful moment.
