My father's advice still guides me every day
Dad passed five years ago but I find myself using his lessons constantly. He taught me that a man's word is his bond, that you look people in the eye when you speak to them, and that you own your mistakes without excuses. I'm trying to pass that same backbone onto my boys. He'd be proud of the men they're becoming. Miss him everyday but he's still here in how we live.
This hits different. My dad's been gone for three years and I still hear his voice sometimes when I'm dealing with my kids or making decisions. That's a real legacy right there.
