Finally gave my oldest son my grandfather's pocket watch on his sixteenth birthday. The man built his business from nothing and that watch never missed a beat in sixty years. This is beautiful man. I've got my grandfather's old fishing fly box I'm hoping to pass to my oldest. There's something special about putting something physical in their hands that represents your family history. Bet your son will treasure that watch forever.

Did you tell him all the stories behind it? My dad gave me his watch when I turned 21 and I don't think I appreciated it until he told me about the scratches and what they meant. Make sure your son knows the whole story.
