My teenage son won't help with yard work, just sits in his room
Getting frustrated. I was raised that you work with your hands and help maintain your home without being asked. My boy acts like yard work is beneath him. I've tried explaining that a man takes care of what he's responsible for but he just rolls his eyes. Not sure how to get through to him. Where do I draw the line between being firm and being unfair?
My daughter's the same way sometimes but I found that instead of demanding help, I'd ask her to come out and help me with ONE specific thing. Like just trim this section of hedge with me. Once she's out there, the momentum usually shifts.
