My wife and I decided our kids eat dinner with us every night
No exceptions except school events. Been doing this for two weeks and already seeing them open up more. My oldest talked about his day, my middle shared something bothering him, my youngest just wanted to be near us. Family dinners are where real parenting happens.
This is the move. No phones at the table too I'm guessing? We started that rule and it's been a game changer for actual conversation instead of everyone just scrolling.
Real talk though, how many nights in did you want to quit? My wife and I started this last month and the first week felt exhausting.
