Old school values in a modern world - how do you balance it?
Don't get me wrong, I want my kids to adapt to the world they live in. But there's certain things I'm not willing to compromise on. Work ethic. Honesty. Taking care of your family. Opening doors for your mother. Basic manners. These aren't outdated, they're foundational. The question is how to teach them in a way that doesn't make them feel like weirdos at school. Would love to hear from other dads who are walking this line.
That balance is tough but it sounds like you've got your priorities straight. The non-negotiables keep them grounded.
