Opening doors for your wife, does anyone still do this?

I was at the grocery store last week and caught myself opening the door for my wife like always. Some younger guy behind us actually made a comment under his breath that it was outdated. My wife squeezed my arm and smiled at him. Been married 16 years and I'll keep doing it till I can't move my legs anymore. It's not about thinking she can't open a door herself, it's about showing her she matters. That's the whole point isn't it?

Been married long enough that these little courtesies are just part of who we are. I open doors, she does her things. It's not about needing to prove anything, it's just how we treat each other. Kids are watching too so that's a bonus.

Still do it. Not because I think my wife needs me to or anything, but it's just a habit now. Good habits are good habits. Plus honestly she appreciates it even if she'd never say she expects it.

I do it but more out of habit than anything. I think the bigger thing is just showing your wife you're thinking of her in small ways. The door thing is just one way to do that. Some people laugh at it but whatever works for your marriage.

Still doing it here in San Antonio. My wife actually appreciates the little things, and honestly it's just part of who I am. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about being considerate.

Absolutely do it. Between three kids and tournaments every weekend, I'm opening doors left and right. It's called having class, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I do it every time, man. It's not about impressing anyone else, it's about showing respect to the people you care about. That guy probably needed to work on his own manners.
