Raising boys who respect their mother

Got three sons and made it clear from day one that how they treat their mother is how they'll treat their wives. They open doors, they listen without interrupting, they help without being asked. My oldest is 16 now and his girlfriend's parents told me they've never seen a young man treat their daughter so well. Not bragging but this stuff matters and it starts at home.

Respect for women starts at home and you're doing it right. I've got three sons too and it's one of the core things we focus on. The way they see you treat their mother teaches them more than any lecture ever could.

This is everything. My three boys know that disrespecting their mom is disrespecting me. It's not about being harsh, it's about teaching them what real respect looks like. Lead by example is the only way that lesson sticks.

Absolutely the right call. My kids see how I handle things with my ex and I make sure they understand that respectful disagreement is possible. Setting that bar early saves a lot of problems down the road.
