Raising daughters with proper respect for themselves and others

Got two daughters ages 8 and 11. My wife and I are very intentional about teaching them what respect looks like both ways. They see how I treat their mother and I'm teaching them to expect to be treated the same way by any man they meet. No games, no disrespect. I want them to know they deserve a partner who will honor them and provide leadership. Also teaching them about responsibility and how to carry themselves with dignity. Would love to hear how other fathers are approaching this with their daughters.

This is huge. I've got four kids and the older ones are already watching how I treat their mom. That modeling piece is everything, especially with your daughters seeing what respect actually looks like.

You're doing the hard work that really matters. My two boys see how I interact with their mom and it shapes everything about how they'll treat people down the line.
