Rant about kids these days and work ethic

My nephew won't even help me work on the truck because his mom says he might hurt himself. What happened to learning by doing? Getting some dirt under your nails, skinning a knee, figuring things out in the garage. Boys need to understand that real work builds character. We're raising a generation of soft kids and I'm sick of it. Anyone else dealing with this?
