Southern gentleman isn't dead, just harder to find
My dad raised me to say yes sir and no sir, to look a man in the eye when you shake his hand, to open doors for ladies, and to keep my word. These days people laugh at me for it but you know what? I sleep good at night. My kids see that actions matter. When I commit to something, I do it. When I respect someone, they know it's genuine. Maybe we need more of the old ways, not less.
The stuff your dad taught you is gold. Opening doors, standing firm on what you believe in, treating people right. Those aren't old fashioned, they're timeless. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
