Standing Firm on My Word to My Kids

Said I'd take my boys fishing Saturday morning at 5am. Rain in the forecast but I gave my word. They remembered. We woke up at 4:30 and went. Barely caught anything but that wasn't the point. When you tell your son you'll be somewhere, you be there. Don't make excuses. Don't reschedule. Show him what honor looks like before he can even spell the word. That's how they learn what a man's word means.
