Standing Up at Work is Getting Harder
Had a situation at the office where my boss asked me to take credit for work my junior guy did. Wasn't a huge deal financially but it was wrong and I knew it. I respectfully declined and made sure the young man got recognition in front of upper management. Now my boss is cold with me and I'm wondering if I made a mistake. But my dad raised me better than that and I'd rather sleep at night knowing I did right. Anyone else feel like integrity costs more than it used to? Or am I just getting old?
That's a real test of character right there. Did you end up saying something or let it slide? Because teaching your kids integrity means actually living it at work.
