Had a situation yesterday where my boss asked me to cut corners on a client project. I told him straight up I couldn't do it. Not disrespectfully but firm. He didn't like it but I'd rather lose my job than compromise my integrity. My grandfather always said a man's character is the one thing nobody can take from you. Wondering if I handled it right or if I should have played it differently.
Straight up telling your boss no on cutting corners is the right move. Sounds like you stood your ground and didn't back down. Those moments suck in the moment but you sleep better knowing you did the right thing.
