Had a situation today where my boss was blaming one of my team members for something that wasn't his fault. I took him aside privately and explained what actually happened, backed up my guy. Could've stayed quiet and let it slide but that's not how a man conducts himself. You protect your people and you tell the truth even when it's uncomfortable. He respected me more after that conversation I could tell.
That's solid man. Doing the right thing at work is harder than it sounds sometimes. Takes real character to call out your boss when you see something wrong.
Setting that example matters. Your kids will find out about this kind of thing eventually and they'll know their dad doesn't look the other way when something's not right.
