Standing up for what's right cost me a friendship

Had a falling out with a buddy of 20 years because he was being disrespectful to his wife in front of me and others. I called him out on it privately and he got defensive, said I was being judgmental. We haven't talked since. I feel bad about losing the friendship but I couldn't stay quiet. A real man doesn't demean his wife or any woman. Did the right thing here even though it hurts?

That's rough but you did the right thing. A real friend would get it. The ones worth keeping are the ones who respect how you handle your marriage.

20 years is a long time to let go of, but some things can't be unseen. Your integrity is worth more than a friendship that tolerates that kind of behavior.
