Standing up for what's right even when it costs you

My business partner was cutting corners on quality to boost profits. I called him out on it even though I knew it might damage our relationship. He wasn't happy at first but we talked it through and he agreed we need to do better. Felt good to put integrity first. Our customers trust us and that means something. Can't compromise on that for a quick buck.

That took guts. Most people see the money being left on the table and just go along with it. How did your partner take it when you pushed back?
Did it hurt the business in the short term? I always wonder if standing on principles like this costs you in the moment.
