Standing up for what's right even when it costs you
Got passed over for a promotion because I wouldn't go along with some shady accounting practices at work. My boss made it pretty clear that staying quiet would have gotten me ahead. My wife was upset at first about the money but then said she was proud of me. That meant more than any paycheck ever could. Our kids are watching how we handle ourselves. Can't teach them about honor and integrity if I'm not living it.
Shady accounting practices, yikes. Did you end up reporting it or just walking away?
