Standing up for what's right even when it's hard
My boss asked me to cut corners on a project to save money and it would've hurt customers. I told him no and explained why it was wrong. Almost cost me that promotion but I couldn't live with myself doing it that way. A man's word and his integrity are all he really has. Anyone else had to make a tough call like that?
This is exactly the kind of integrity I want my kids to see in the world. Even if it got rocky with your boss, you did right by your customers and yourself. That matters more than any shortcut ever could.
