Standing up for what's right isn't always popular
Situation at work where a buddy of mine got thrown under the bus by management to cover their mistake. I stepped up and told the truth about what happened even though it made things awkward for me. My boss asked why I did it and I told him a man's only worth what he's willing to stand for. Might cost me but I sleep better at night. That's the example I want my kids to follow, not whatever's easiest in the moment.
That takes guts, especially when your job is on the line. But you did the right thing. Integrity matters and your kids are learning that by watching you even if they don't know it yet.
