Standing up for whats right at work
Had a situation at the office where my boss wanted me to cut corners on a project to save money. I respectfully pushed back and explained why it wasnt the right move. Could have just gone along with it but I believe in doing things the right way. Takes more courage to speak up than to stay quiet sometimes. Anyone else deal with stuff like this?
Good for you man. That's the kind of decision that's easy to regret later if you just go along with it. Takes guts to push back on your boss, especially when money's involved. How did he handle the pushback?
Standing your ground at work is one of those things your kids will respect you for later even if they don't fully get it right now. They're watching how you handle pressure and what you're willing to compromise on. This kind of integrity matters.
