Standing up to my boss respectfully but firmly
Got told to cut corners on a project to save time and money. Told my boss straight up that we can't deliver quality work that way and I won't put my name on something half baked. He didn't like it but I stuck to my guns. A man's reputation is everything. Would rather lose a job than compromise my integrity. Hope my kids see that sometimes you have to do the harder right thing instead of the easier wrong thing.
Respect for that. Cutting corners usually just means more work down the road anyway. Quality over speed, always. Did your boss come around on it?
