Standing up to my kid's coach who's out of line

Coach has been benching my boy unfairly and making comments about his work ethic that aren't accurate. I've given it time but it's getting worse. Finally had it and requested a meeting. Went in calm, respectful, facts on the table. Not aggressive but made it clear this behavior isn't acceptable. Sometimes you have to speak up for what's right. Anyone else dealt with coaching issues?

You've given it time like a good dad should, but at a certain point you gotta speak up for your kid. Coaches need to hear it when they're being unfair, especially about work ethic claims that aren't true.

I've been in the stands every Saturday for years and I can tell you when a coach is off base. Document what you're seeing and have that conversation with him, but keep it about the facts not emotions.
