Standing Up When a Woman Enters the Room

My kids think I'm crazy for standing up when their mom comes into the living room or when we have female guests. But that's how I was raised and that's what I'm passing down. There's nothing wrong with showing basic courtesy and respect to the women in your life. My daughter asked me why I do it and I told her it's because she deserves to be treated like a lady. These traditions exist for a reason. We need more of this, not less.
