Standing when a lady enters the room
My wife mentioned she appreciated that I still stand when she comes into the living room from another part of the house. Honestly didn't think much of it, just what my father modeled for me growing up. But it got me thinking about how few men do this anymore. It's such a small gesture but it communicates respect and honor. I'm trying to make sure my kids see this example regularly. Seems like basic decency is becoming uncommon these days.
That's a nice detail. I catch myself doing this automatically now and my wife has definitely noticed. It's one of those things that takes zero effort but says a lot.
