Standing your ground respectfully
Had a situation at work where a younger guy was being rude in a meeting and everyone kind of accepted it. I pulled him aside after and told him straight up that his tone was disrespectful but I said it with respect, not anger. He actually listened and apologized. That's what a man does. You don't let things slide but you also don't come in hot. Lead by example, not by being a jerk about it.
The key word is respectfully. You can absolutely hold your ground without being a jerk about it. That's something I'm still working on myself honestly.
