Stayed late to help the new guy even though I was exhausted
Had a rough day at work but the young guy in the next department was drowning on a project. I stayed an hour and a half helping him figure it out even though all I wanted was to go home. My boss noticed and asked why I did it. Told him that's just what you do. My grandfather always said a real man lifts others up, and that stuck with me. Little things like that matter.
This is exactly what I want my kids to understand about being a man. It's not about being tough, it's about being reliable and helping when it's hard. Nice example.
