Taking Responsibility for Your Mistakes
Had a situation at work where I made a call that didn't go the way I planned. Instead of making excuses or blaming circumstances, I owned it in front of my team and my boss. Explained what I'd do differently next time. Respect isn't about being perfect, it's about being honest. My boy was there that day doing bring your kid to work and saw the whole thing. That's worth more than any lecture I could give him.
This is exactly what I'm trying to teach my kids, that owning up to mistakes is way more powerful than making excuses. Takes guts to do that at work but it's the right move. How did your team respond?
