Teaching boys to be gentlemen in 2024
My father taught me to open doors, say yes sir and no sir, shake hands firmly, and respect women. Now I'm trying to pass that on but the world's telling my kids it's all outdated. Not backing down though. My boys are learning that being a man of character and courtesy isn't weakness, it's strength. Had my 10-year-old pull out his mom's chair at dinner without being asked. That's the kind of man I want raising my grandkids someday.
Your dad taught you well and you're passing it on. This stuff matters even if the world acts like it doesn't. Firm handshake and respect for women are timeless.
