Teaching boys to be men - starting with manners

Been thinking a lot about how to raise my sons right in a world that doesn't always respect tradition anymore. Started with the basics that my father taught me. They greet people with a firm handshake and look them in the eye. They say yes sir and no ma'am. They open doors for their mother. It's not about being soft or weak, it's about showing respect and honor to those around you. These are the foundations. The rest builds on top of this. Anyone else doing the same with their kids?

Manners are definitely the foundation. With three kids I'm constantly reminding them about please and thank you, but it sticks eventually. Your sons are lucky to have a dad thinking about this stuff.
