Teaching my boy to be a man
My son is 12 now and I want to make sure he grows up knowing what it means to be a real man. Not the soft stuff they teach in schools. I'm talking about responsibility, standing up for what's right, keeping your word, and treating women with respect. We've been doing projects together, I take him hunting, and we talk about life. Am I on the right track or is there something else I should be doing?
The 12 year old phase is when they start watching how you actually operate, not just listening to what you say. Be honest with him, be fair, admit when you don't have the answers. Real men know how to say 'I don't know' or 'I messed up.' That's the stuff that matters.
