Teaching my boy to shake hands properly

Been working with my 8yo on his handshake. Firm grip, eye contact, say your name clear. Had him meet my boss at the office yesterday and the man actually commented on it. My son stood a little taller after that. This stuff matters fellas. It's how people judge your character in the first five seconds.

Great habit to build early. I started mine even younger and it's paid dividends. People remember kids who look them in the eye and speak clearly. Sets them apart.

This is solid. I've been doing the same with my oldest. The firm grip part was the hardest to teach but once he got it, you could see the confidence boost. Adults notice too and comment on it.

Eye contact is huge. My 6yo still looks at their shoes when meeting people but we're working on it. How did you get your boy to not feel awkward about the eye contact part?
