Teaching my boys to be men of their word

Started a new thing where if they make a promise to their mom, me, friends, anyone really, we hold them to it. No excuses. If they say they're going to do something they do it. Been about a month and I'm already seeing a difference in how people respond to them. People respect you when you do what you say you're going to do. That's old school but it matters.

Love this approach. My boys are older now but I wish I'd started this when they were younger. Accountability early on really does shape character.

This is huge. Following through on promises to kids builds their entire foundation for integrity. I've been doing something similar with mine and it's wild how they internalize it at a young age.

How do you handle it when they break a promise? Like what's the consequence structure you're using? Asking because I want to implement this with my two but I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
