I've been working with my 10 and 12 year old on this. The handshake is firm but not crushing, the eye contact is steady and respectful, and they practice with their granddad every Sunday. You can tell a lot about someone from how they shake your hand. These boys are going to know how to carry themselves right when they go out into the world.

That's solid work right there. My boys are around that age too and I've been doing the same thing. They actually take pride in it once they get the feel of a proper handshake, makes them stand a little taller.
