Teaching my boys to shake hands properly

Cant believe how many young men I see nowadays with weak handshakes. Took my two boys aside last week and showed them how its done. Firm grip, eye contact, say your name clear. My oldest actually said he felt more confident just from practicing it. These little things matter and theyve been passed down for a reason. Anyone else trying to keep these traditions alive?

This matters more than people think. Handshake is one of the first impressions. Good on you for teaching them this early.

Yes! A firm handshake makes such a difference. I've been teaching my boys the same thing. Weak handshakes tell people you're not confident.

My dad taught me this when I was young and I've done the same. Eye contact, firm grip, quick shake. It's one of those small things that sticks with them forever.

Love that you're passing this on. So many kids today don't learn basic social skills like this. A good handshake opens doors.
