Teaching My Boys What Honor Actually Means

My grandfather taught me that a man's word is his bond and you handle your own problems without complaints. I'm passing that down to my boys the same way he did to me. My oldest is 9 and already knows you don't make excuses, you don't lie about mistakes, and you take responsibility for your family. Started teaching him to shake a man's hand firm and look him in the eye. These things matter. They're what separate good men from cowards.

A man's word is his bond. That's something that gets lost sometimes. Teaching them to handle their own problems without running to someone else first is huge. How old are your boys?

Your grandfather sounds like he had it right. That's the foundation for everything else. Are you finding it's harder to teach your boys that stuff with all the social media and group think happening around them?
