Teaching my son about duty and responsibility

Started him on chores not as punishment but as responsibility. He takes care of the yard on Saturdays. He understands that being part of this family means contributing. Not for reward but because it's the right thing to do. Too many kids today get participation trophies. They need to understand real work and real contribution.
